Surfing is cool but the guys at Off-Grid TV make it look even cooler. This group of surfers from Charleston, South Carolina are in the process of doing what every waterman dreams of, taking surf trips, making edits and having a blast. Though their views are on the lower side they still make killer content and the channel has huge potential. The Youtube channel was made by Griffin Jackson and friends to put their adventure out into the world and “will still be used in the future”.
Their channel currently has five videos up with “¿What Are You Doing?” being a favorite at Bellworks.”¿What Are You Doing?” was filmed on the coast of Panama in 2021 and it showcases impressive surfing and music that fits perfectly. “Probably Livin Like Larry because it’s the only edit shot at home by us on a crazy hurricane swell” was what Griffin responded with when asked what his favorite edit is. “Livin like Larry” has an awesome mix of longboard and shortboard clips which makes the edit different from others and as the video progresses it shows the hurricane swell filling into shore as the boys continue to shred.
With that, Off-Grid-TV is a great source of surf entertainment that we hope to see grow more in the future. It might not seem like it but making a surf edit that is longer than a minute is not easy. Many of the components that go into a surf edit goes unseen, for example always having a filmer on stand by or getting enough good waves to make the edit longer than a minute. Off-Grid-TV achieved four, five minute videos and one ten minute video and that’s just the beginning for them.
