ROCK IS DEAD! Is what many have come to believe in this new generation of popular music; leaving many calling on the way-pavers of past generations for that hit of rock & roll adrenaline. However, your new favorite band may just be hiding out, jamming in a local dive bar, waiting to be discovered. It’s through this subsection that we hope to help you find them. With that, here is our third official Bellworks Band of the Week!

The nitro blues band is a groovy young group hailing from our home state of New Jersey. The band consists of four members: Patrick Graham Mellor (guitarist/vocalist), Armaan Gupta (guitarist), and the brother & sister duo of Tony (drummer) and Bella Grande (bassist/vocalist). With their debut EP, consisting of four songs, officially releasing in 2024, this band is fresh on the scene.
The use of two vocalists creates a level of diversity in their catalog that we are excited to watch develop even further. Patrick is the sole vocalist in their song “Prison City Blues” whereas Bella takes charge in “With a Passion”. The back and forth between male and female voices in their songs “Penny” and “I’m Cryin” creates a level of depth that you don’t often get from a band.
They may just be getting started, but they are already making strides in the music world. In October of last year, they won the annual Carteret Battle of the Bands. This well earned victory brought attention to their music and rewarded them with a cash prize of $1,500 which they were able to invest into the making of their EP!
Overall “The Nitro Blues Band” is a fun and creative group producing a style of music that is truly hard to find in our day and age. They were a joy to listen to and will be a definite addition to our playlist. That being said, go check these guys out, tell em we sent ya, and let us know what you think!
